I'm trying to keep my faith in Lebanon. Yet, so may things are going on...and I just do not understand. I've always believed that life is what we make of it...yet, I feel unbearably helpless...I have never felt like this before. Still, I will do my best and we will still be standing inshallah. It always becomes better when I look at a blog like yours...
Mesh wiz 3aynoun, the true 3ibara is not proper to say here (li anno khassa bi emmoun) but this is the one I have in mind :)
I was watching a show tonight about a cook who travels the world and cooks wherever he goes; tonight's episode was about when he took his cooking show to Beirut and then the war started, and the show turned into Lebanon's war and the survival of Lebanese during the war. You can clearly see the difference between the panicking strangers to the war and how the Lebanese deal with it, always wanting to live and doing everything possible to do just that... I really felt that we truly are a sha3b gheyr shekel (is there even a proper translation for this sentence?) Really proud to be Lebanese and have this flag as the symbol of my roots and my country.
coco, as once am blogged about a while ago... our nation is a SINGULARITY... everytime we are beaten down, we challenge it and stand again, even better than before.. we are a nation that never gives up, we bow to no one.
Eh walla ya Coco, You missed meeting Nour. Just to give you an idea and for the record, I am not teasing you, just for your info ye3ni, the photo here doesn't do him any justice! Like abadan! at all!
