and then?
we spend more time working to earn more money..
we spend more money buying more time for ourselves....
is it greed?
is it a vicious circle?
we eventually end up working all the time, either directly or inderectly...
we end up leading our life from fast to faster, not living any moment.
changing the lifestyle, it must be the solution.

And we change our life style and take that risk. We might make mistakes but it's better than looking back in the future and regreting not taking that risk by getting out of that vicious circle.
It might bring us more happiness.
you know, this issue is practically haunting me: we're working to rest later, but who says there will be a "later" to rest?
so... "and then" slowing down a bit is a must you see.
there to tell the truth must change our life style, it is necessary to benefit from each momant which passes
The solution is not in what you might, could, would or probably do to find happiness and peace. In my opinion the solution is in finding peace, goodness and happiness in what you already do and have. Some Mondays are as good as my Saturdays and some Saturdays are as bad as Mondays. The trick is how do I transform and or embrace and befriend the moment.
Know that you are a co-creator with God and you also have the energy, creativity, skills and wisdom to create and make things better. You just need to train your gifts and know how to use them to your benefit and for the benefit of others.
The hallmark of Jesuit spirituality, and I'm telling you this because you know the Jesuits, is "finding God - which is goodness, beauty, happiness, peace and joy - in all things"
It's not as easy as it sounds, but there are Spiritual Exercises to help you discern and find God (movement of the Holy Spirit) in daily events, simple things, other people and even in the most frustrating and challenging times. There are times when you walk with Christ to Golgotha, but there are also times when you resurrect with Christ. The joy is found in the companionship, you're always with a good friend, not in the beauty or uglyness of a certain time and or place.
If one does not slow down to appreciate the moment...then, eventually, one's body will, sooner or later, speak out and force one to slow down...
"and then", ain't better to slow down with one's will, rather than against one's will...or worse, with one's regrets...
So true, if I could read, write and sing everyday....I would....I hate living the Australian dream...work now, live later. I want to live now, now when I have the ability to really live...
